A new gaze1 looks upon me as I rise from sleep. A much needed yet low-yielding one, it seems. Once again, falling into the pit of sleep deprivation. Common place for me at this point, as it appeared that I could never have that one night which I so desperately craved. However, I can't dwell on it for long. In the coming wink,2 I have to be in Weapons R&D, and I'm almost late. It's down a couple of floors, it shouldn't be too long to get there. Getting myself out of this daze is the hard part; mornings are always difficult. I think this is what the Bright Cousins call "Monday." I can see why they despise it with jokes.
With a quick crack of the neck and stretching my receptors I'd be ready to leave. I had to move quickly, with sadly no time for a morning slice of cheese. As I leave my residence I see that Kizketeche is standing alone in the hall. Now that I thought about it, I did have more time than I initially thought, thank Velzie. So while I did miss eating the cheese that Laurence gave me, I could talk to a friend for a few seconds, if at that.

I go to Movefriend, who is sitting there patiently for a command of where to go. Of course, I tell them to move towards the Weapons Division, and as per usual I arrive at the lobby for all different types of research projects. I'd see Kazki leaving the room, giddy about whatever she had just discovered. I entered after she left, and the door lightly slid shut behind me.
If I'm honest, this is where my energy comes back; I get ready to test weapons and learn more about how our Bright Cousins made their weapons of war. However today feels.. different. I just feel.. empty. I feel tired again, walking towards the pistols and rifles on the wall. I feel tired grabbing my cyst to record data in, and I feel tired communicating the very words this cyst is displaying.
I just feel tired. And I haven't a clue why. I even stumble and fall onto ta shelving unit, with weapons of our own design falling off and landing close to my feet.
What is wrong with me today.. <
Perhaps my lack of sleep is worse than I thought. No matter, for I had assignments for today, and they needed to be done. I'll put more information here when something interesting happens during the tests of.. let's see, the "H&K USP," the "AR-15," and the "FN SCAR-H." Some interesting names, I will admit. I wonder if they relate to how the weapon functions..
It's a few winks later now. All guns performed well and without problems, though the AR-15 sounded slightly off. I will have to look into that. It might be something with the "bolt" grinding along the "locking lug." So many parts and so many terms confuses me, but this is the process I have to push through should I want to understand the weaponry of our Bright Cousins. They have much of their "Medieval" weaponry, which I might look at later. That sword named the "Zweihander" has to be my favorite.
I have honestly wondered where the old-age weapons of the Bright Cousins is. We have our weapons; swords and crossbows,4 yet I see almost none of what the Bright Cousins have which relates to ours. I receive their guns and sometimes even explosives, yet I would also love to look into their swords, shields, and the like. Both fields of weaponry are equally intriguing.
As for my own health, it does not feel like I am well. It was very difficult to stay awake during testing, and I believe I even fell asleep at one point. It must be the reason why I feel like I have been here for so long. I awoke with a warm cloth around me and a zzoust simulacrum,5 which was a welcome and kind gift from whoever had provided it. Which made me wonder..
After taking a long sip from the simulacrum and setting it back down on the desk, and removing the cloth around me, I look for who was the one to not only bring these items here, but set them down and wrap them around me. How long was I in slumber? I decided to explore the R&D room and see if there were any notes or signs of who had left the items. And while doing so, I began to think of who would come in and give these to me.
Kazki? Maybe. Even though we were both heavily interested in Bright Cousin firearms and weaponry, though we didn't talk much outside of passing talk and sharing reports. Kizketeche would never, as she wouldn't step near the Weapons R&D; it wasn't her focus, and she simply isn't interested in the idea. It was simply confounding. Soon enough, after I had finished the zzoust, I got up from my seat and stretched, walking outside and looking around.
Where was everyone?
It was completely silent in the Embassy; an unusual such event, however it has happened before. The only person here was the golem Geli, who was just waking back up after I had left the minor research department area.

I left the Lobby and walked to Movefriend, asking it to take me towards the recreation hub. I could use it myself, to be honest. I was still extremely tired, and I needed something to wake me up further, should Velzie be busy with other matters; I was hoping she wasn't.
As I arrived at the recreation hub, I saw that Geli was right about her analysis; many of my colleagues were here in the rec-hub talking, drinking, and enjoying themselves. Seeing this in itself slightly warmed my chest, which I found interesting, and walked to Barfriend, who had just finished conjuring a simulacrum for Akizeteche. It was an orange-looking drink, which had an interesting smell coming from it. My receptors slightly shifted at the scent, and I turned towards Barfriend to get my own.

I received the item, with the familiar taste of zzoust soon filling my body and making myself feel much more calm. I noticed that my shoulders had been very sore while resting in the Weapons R&D, and I assume that being in an environment such as this was much more calming to my body than simply being awake in that confined room. At least it felt lively in here, with most of us being in recreation.

This is something completely different. The cyst I'm investigating just corrupted, and when I ran a diagnostic it came back as clean. Now there is new data which should definitely not be there. <

Progress has been slow on Corrucyst 241 lately. Many errors have shown up in the biocomputer, one of which is very concerning. The memory data for the cyst has been changed through an unknown error within the device. It isn't known whether this is the cyst acting up or my Mindspike showing its age, but my bet is on the former. I've never had issues with this model of Spike, and this being the first cyst to give me an error makes me suspicious. <
For context, I was experiencing Xalvicretis Kiv Promaricur's memories when I got an "UNKNOWN_ERR:000" line, commonly known as the "Forced Removal" line. This is not a good sign of things to come, especially since we haven't had a triple zero error line since Akizeteche's cyst, where the mysterious "Velzie" would force our Interloper out of the connection. Luckily I wasn't nearly fried to death, but I'll need another glass of bourbon and some medication, that's for sure. <
On top of this, when I ran a diagnostic to determine the error it came back with a Code 101, the all clear. Nothing was wrong on the terminal's analysis, but my Mindspike wasn't liking the experience. When I asked Gordon for help in the FBX 01 Chatroom and uploaded the file, he found nothing wrong either, but I did see a discrepancy. <

This is the uploaded code block of Xalvicretis' current cyst data. If you compare this to the other reports, something might strike you as weird. It certainly did to me. <
"Where is the break?" <
With other corrucysts, we've had breaks of code and different types of coding languages used to interpret these large amounts of data. We see binary, python, ruby, lines from Microsoft, Linux ports, and even stuff from TOR and the Dark Web. However with Xalvic's cyst, it's simply binary. I have no clue why, but it strikes me as concerning and worrying. I don't like this, team. <
I'm going to request that I have a Watcher accompany me on my next dive. I don't want to be around this cyst alone when something inevitably goes awry. <
I also want to talk about Xalvic's cyst itself, on the inside. In the "Hub" area (as I like to call it), instead of being bright and having a nice feel to it, it's dark here. It isn't like Akizeteche's or Kazki's cysts. The Friend helper isn't called "Funfriend," like Akizet's, it's called "Darkfriend." As you'd suspect, it's a dark diamond helper with purple eyes. It seems that only the body has changed appearance-wise, but its behavior has changed as well. It's a lot more.. snappy? Defensive? It's not happy, that's for sure, but I don't think it's angry either. <
This goes hand-in-hand with Xalvic's behaviors and memories. He is not a very happy person, though he likes to masquerade himself as such to his colleagues. I can most certainly tell, as I've been very tired lately, emotionally and physically, to the point where I was diagnosed with chronic insomnia two months ago. Progress has been slow because I have been getting slow. It's hard for me to get up in the morning, and it's hard for me to interact with my friends and colleagues without being snappy and feeling like shit afterwards, excuse my language. <
On a funnier note, I've been craving cheese a lot lately. Bought.. 4 different types a couple weeks ago. They all taste really good. <
I'm going to take another one-month break after a three hour session tomorrow in the cyst. I don't think I can emotionally take what goes on in these memories. It's.. it's just not fun. Stuff I'd really rather not put in a check-up report, even though that's what this stuff is for. It's heavy and very unhealthy. Hopefully this time away from the cyst will help my mind clear; it improved last time with a two month break. <
I'm off for medical attention. I'll need this time to heal my body after the triple 0 error.
